At the X ITF World Cup in Benidorm, three clubs from our Federation — Solovey Team, Martial Arts Centre and Fightback — won 35 medals: 14 gold, 12 silver and 9 bronze. Solovey Team finished first among 259 clubs and teams. The tournament brought together 2,681 athletes from 57 countries.
Ukrainian clubs won 55 medals overall and finished second in the country medal standings. Our Federation’s clubs contributed almost 64% of Ukraine’s gold medals. Victories in large categories, strong pre-junior and junior performances, and adult medals show that our athletes and clubs are among the world’s leaders. 2026 World Cup results.
During the 2026 World Cup, our Federation’s president, Master Vitalii Gagarin, and the head of its Umpire Committee, Viktoriia Sokolovska, represented Ukraine at the ITF General Assembly. Our community participates in both the sporting and organisational life of the international federation.
Towards one united Ukrainian organisation
The two Ukrainian organisations currently enter athletes in international competitions separately. Club tournaments have their own participation arrangements: at the World Cup, for example, clubs compete under their own names. In the medal standings by country, Ukrainian teams’ results contribute to Ukraine’s shared achievement.
The movement towards unification continues. Obstacles between the two structures remain to be overcome. Our goal is to work within one united Ukrainian organisation in this ITF branch once those obstacles have been resolved.
The interests of athletes, coaches and Ukraine’s wider Taekwon-Do community guide our Federation. Unification should strengthen our shared work in team preparation, club development, instructor education and international representation. We continue training, developing young athletes and winning medals as we work towards that future.
