In the town of Trostianets, on the occasion of Europe Day, an open Taekwon-Do tournament was held, bringing together 53 young athletes from Trostianets and Sumy. The event took place in a friendly, sporting atmosphere, becoming a true celebration of sport, fortitude, and children's determination.
The Taekwon-Do M.F.T. Federation of Ukraine expresses sincere gratitude to the tournament organisers, coaches, umpires, parents, and everyone who contributed to hosting this sporting event during these challenging times for Ukraine.
🇺🇦 Before the start of the competition, participants, coaches, and guests observed a minute of silence in memory of Ukraine's servicemen and servicewomen who gave their lives for the freedom, independence, and future of Ukraine.
A welcoming address was delivered by the head of SC 'Sports Academy' Vitalii Cherkashyn, who wished the athletes fair contests, confidence in their abilities, and new sporting achievements.
A special highlight of the tournament was the demonstration performances by senior athletes, who also assisted with umpiring and displayed a high standard of mastery. The vibrant spirit of the event was complemented by artistic performances by pupils of the Children and Youth Palace.
🥋 The chief umpire of the tournament was Maksym Dehtiarenko, who prepared the young athletes for the competition. Participants showcased their skills in two disciplines — 'forms' and 'sparring', demonstrating solid technical preparation, character, and true sporting spirit.
👏 The Taekwon-Do M.F.T. Federation of Ukraine sincerely congratulates the athletes and their coach on their wonderful results! We wish them continued progress, new victories, perseverance, and a successful sporting future.
Taekwon-Do in Ukraine continues to develop even in difficult wartime, uniting children, coaches, and families around sport, discipline, and genuine human values.
